These terms are an agreement between you and [Pujam's operating company, LLC], which operates Pujam (“Pujam”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or making a booking, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.
What Pujam is
Pujam is a marketplace that connects families with independent priests and caterers. Priests and caterers set their own services, prices and availability and perform the ceremonies and catering themselves; they are not Pujam employees. Pujam provides the booking, payment and messaging tools.
Accounts
You must be at least 18 and give accurate information, including a mobile number where you can be reached about your booking. You're responsible for activity on your account.
Bookings and payment
- The price shown before checkout is the total you pay, including any puja kit and catering.
- Your booking is confirmed once payment succeeds. An unpaid booking holds the date for 30 minutes, then is released.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Pujam collects payment on behalf of the priest or caterer and keeps a service fee; the rest is paid out to them.
- A priest can only be booked on days and times they've marked available, one ceremony per day.
Cancellations and refunds
- You cancel 72 hours or more before the ceremony: full refund.
- You cancel less than 72 hours before: 50% refund.
- The priest cancels or can't perform the ceremony: full refund.
- Refunds go back to your original payment method and usually appear within 5–10 business days.
For priests and caterers
- Keep your availability, services and prices accurate, and honor confirmed bookings.
- Payouts are made through Stripe, and you agree to Stripe's Connected Account Agreement when you set up payouts. You're responsible for your own taxes.
- If you cancel a confirmed booking, the family is refunded in full and the payout for that booking is reversed.
Text messages
If you opt in, you'll receive Pujam booking alerts: booking confirmations, new bookings, cancellations, schedule changes and reminders, depending on your role. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time; you'll get one message confirming you've been unsubscribed. Reply HELP for help or email support@pujam.app. Consent to texts is not required to use Pujam or make a purchase. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse Pujam: no false bookings, fraud, harassment, or attempts to get around payments or the cancellation policy. We may suspend accounts that do.
Disclaimers and liability
Pujam is provided “as is”. Ceremonies and catering are provided by independent priests and caterers, who are responsible for their services. To the extent the law allows, Pujam is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any booking is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [State of formation], United States.
